The middle school library elective class is focusing on children’s book illustrators this quarter. As part of this class they have different local published book illustrators come in and share with the 7/8th class. This gets students interested in the ins and outs of what goes into book illustrations, meet and support local published illustrators, ask questions, and possibly consider future careers in this area. GOAL $30,000 - as always, 100% of the proceeds can be used as a tax donation.
VNW is a fun, challenging course designed for kids of all abilities with obstacles, activities and lots of smiles to go along with your kids' awesome feeling of accomplishment.
Our VNW event is an organized event where each child will collect flat rate donations and run the obstacle course for fun as many times as they can. Sponsorship is not required for participation.
🐍❤️🖤💪 Students were challenged this weekend to simply register for our event. Teachers who receive 100% registration this weekend will receive a gift from Mrs. Oda. Thank you for your assistance with this! Students also receive a water bottle sticker just for registering.

Lastly, there will be TWO Online Silent Auctions. The first will be for Monster Jam tickets and parking as the donated event is Saturday, February 8th https://www.32auctions.com/VNWMJAM. This auction will open up Friday, January 31st at 5:45pm through Friday, February 7th, noon. The second will be https://www.32auctions.com/2025VNW from Thursday, February 13th, 8am through Wednesday, February 19th, 8pm. The second auction will be comprised of a variety of donations received from local community members and businesses.

Val Vista Academy has the wonderful opportunity to attend a Valley Suns game as a school and celebrate together! The Valley Suns are the G-League team for the Phoenix Suns, and play at Mullett Arena in Tempe. The venue is very intimate and makes for great viewing for fans. VVA families will be able to sit together in seats located mid-court. If we are able to get at least 50 tickets sold, we will get to go ON THE COURT after the game and shoot some baskets! The game is during Spring Break, and is a 12:00 start time. Families will be allowed to bring sack lunches or may purchase food at the restaurants in the arena. We hope you can join us for this exciting and fun event! Game is March 19, 12 pm. The Valley Suns will also return $2 from each ticket sold back to VVA!!
